What to prepare as a Nigerian applicant

FDU states that SAT/ACT is not required for the FDU International Scholarship. Your application will be assessed on academic merit, so your secondary school results and any transcripts you submit will carry the weight. If you are applying as a transfer student, note the separate transfer scholarships and the requirement for Phi Theta Kappa membership for that particular award.

The university does not list eligible nationalities on this page. It refers to international students, but it does not say whether Nigerians are specifically eligible. You should check with FDU directly to confirm your eligibility before relying on any of these awards.

What the awards do not cover

The page states that scholarships cannot be used towards a Summer semester. The FDU International Scholarship is awarded per year for Fall and Spring semesters. The Family Grant and Children of Alumni Grant do not apply to students enrolled in Wroxton College, summer sessions, inter-sessions, mini-sessions, or other special sessions. The page does not state that these scholarships cover travel, living costs, or other expenses beyond what is listed.
