Which scholarships fit the certificate you already hold?
International awards are written for the level you will study next. Start from your highest Nigerian qualification: we show the level of scholarship it leads to and how many awards are open now.
Undergraduate (Bachelors)
Scholarships for a first degree abroad. Most ask for your senior secondary results and an admission offer; each award page quotes its own entry requirement.
Masters
Taught and research masters. Awards usually state a minimum class of degree — "upper second" corresponds to Second Class Upper (2:1) on a Nigerian transcript. Whether an HND is accepted is decided by each university.
PhD & doctoral
Funded doctoral places and research scholarships. Many are tied to a supervisor or research group, so the programme application and the scholarship often share one deadline.
Postdoctoral
Postdoctoral positions, research fellowships and visiting programmes for researchers who have completed a doctorate.
How degree classes are usually written
Universities publish their own equivalences for Nigerian qualifications; each award page links to the provider so you can check the exact rule.
