This page collects 18 fully funded scholarships in Business & Management that are open to Nigerian students. Every award here is labelled fully funded by the provider, so the question is not whether money is available but whether you fit the level, the country and the paperwork. The list spans eight countries: China and the United Kingdom carry four awards each, the United States three, Australia and Switzerland two each, and Japan, the Netherlands and Norway one each.
Fifteen of the 18 are open at Masters level, eight at PhD, six at Bachelors, two as fellowships and one at high school level. Some awards appear under more than one level, which is why those figures add up to more than 18. If you are finishing a B.Sc or HND and looking for a taught postgraduate programme, the Masters group is where most of your options sit.
Twelve of the 18 awards state that Nigerians may apply. Of those 12, two name Nigeria or the wider region in their own eligibility text; the other ten carry no nationality restriction at all. The remaining six awards do not state their eligibility on the award page, so you would need to check the provider's own rules before spending money on a transcript or a courier.
That split matters when you are shortlisting. An award with no nationality restriction is usually decided on academic merit and the strength of your statement, while an award that names Nigeria or the region is often tied to a development or leadership purpose. Read the eligibility wording on each page before you commit to anything.
These are the benefits the awards name in their own text. They are not a promise that every award covers every item.
Eight awards naming tuition and eight naming living costs is the core of what "fully funded" means on this page: fees covered, plus money to live on. Travel and accommodation appear less often, so budget for your flight and your first weeks if the award you choose does not mention them. Where an award states a value, it is shown on the individual page — for example, the BI Presidential Scholarship at BI Norwegian Business School in Oslo states full tuition plus a stipend for international students.
The requirements below are counted from what the awards themselves state. Treat them as a checklist for gathering documents early, because Nigerian document timelines are the part you control.
Letters of recommendation are the single most common ask, so line up your referees before anything else. Speak to two or three lecturers or managers who know your work, give them your CV and your draft statement, and give them weeks rather than days. Where an English test is required, book early: test dates in Nigeria fill up, and results take time to reach the provider. Where an admission offer is required first, the scholarship clock starts after the university's own deadline, so work backwards from both dates.
Only two awards state a minimum degree class, which means most of this list judges you on your full application rather than a single classification. That said, a strong class of degree still helps where the field is competitive. If your transcript is still with your department, start the process now — transcripts and courier fees are the costs you carry regardless of the outcome.
The spread across countries is uneven, and that shapes your strategy. China and the United Kingdom have four awards each, the United States three, Australia and Switzerland two each, and Japan, the Netherlands and Norway one each. Providers on this page include Stanford University, the University of Cambridge, the University of Groningen, the University of Oxford, BI Norwegian Business School in Oslo, the University of Tasmania, participating Australian institutions and a group of Shanghai universities.
If your goal is a business school with a named scholarship attached, Norway and the Netherlands each give you one clear target. If you want volume and choice, China and the UK give you the widest set within this list.
Nine awards carry a stated date, nine are recurring, and nine have no date shown. The busiest months for deadlines on this page are October and May with two each, then April with one. That pattern is useful: it tells you the application season is not concentrated in a single window, so a missed deadline rarely means waiting a full year.
The awards closing soonest are worth naming:
One more example, further out, is the Australia Awards Scholarships 2027 (Fully Funded), which closes 30 April and is open at undergraduate, Masters and PhD level.
Where an award is recurring, the date shown is the pattern to plan around rather than a one-off. Where no date is shown, the provider either runs a rolling process or publishes dates elsewhere, so check the individual page and the provider's own announcement.
Start with the level. If you hold a B.Sc or HND and want a taught Masters, filter the 15 Masters awards first and ignore the rest for now. If you already hold a Masters and want to research, the eight PhD awards are your set, and the one award that asks for a research proposal will need the most lead time.
Then check eligibility honestly. Twelve awards state Nigerians may apply; two of those name Nigeria or the region, and ten carry no nationality restriction. For the six that do not state eligibility on the award page, contact the provider before you pay for anything.
Then gather documents in this order: referees first, English test second if required, transcripts and certified copies third. Keep a simple spreadsheet with each award, its level, its country and its deadline, and work backwards from the earliest date. The Stanford award closes 8 October and the Groningen award closes 1 December, so those two set the pace for this cycle.
Finally, apply to more than one. Eighteen awards across eight countries is a wide field, and a single application is a single chance.
